Book Week- Pirate Invasion!

In the week before half term the teachers (or pirate captains!) planned lots of literacy, pirate activities to improve writing across the whole school, and of course to have lots of fun!

 

We also raised money for charity when children swapped their very own treasure map for a small donation of 'booty.'

The juniors enjoyed making paper collages of pirate ships.	After some pirate role play, Year 3 and 4 children wrote some very exciting adventure stories.	The parents were very impressed with the pirate maps we drew.
Under the watchful eye of Captain Barker, the infants wrote pirate stories too.	Shipmate Myers kept things ship shape in the office while deciding who should walk the plank!	Ooh how scary!
